ISTANBUL, Turkey (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Metalheads W.A.S.P. have cancelled a previously announced July 14th appearance in Istanbul, Turkey, after an abnormality was found in one of frontman Blackie Lawless’ arteries leading to his heart.
According to a statement from W.A.S.P. manager Daniel Stanton of Coallier Entertainment, “Doctors have advised Blackie to not travel for the next 30 days to avoid complication from medications prescribed to him.”
Lawless is reportedly doing fine and has had no permanent damage in any way, after the problem was discovered during a routine physical.
The band is now returning to the studio and has begun recording new material for their next release, tentatively due in September of 2006. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
