A partial train derailment caused damage to around four garages in Fredericksburg, Virginia, according to police.

The Fredericksburg Police Department said officers responded to the 400 block of Cobblestone Drive for the report of a train derailment. When they arrived, officers found that five cars of a CSX Freight Train had derailed and hit a garage structure by the rail line.

Four garages were damaged as a result, officials said.

There were no reported injuries, officials said, and no hazardous materials on the cars that derailed.

CSX released a statement on the incident saying that it "appreciates the swift response of the Fredericksburg City first responders. The safety of response personnel and the surrounding community is our top priority as we coordinate with the responding agencies to secure the site and develop a recovery plan."

Officials are asking the public to avoid the area as they continue to investigate the incident.
