The Bloodline has officially undergone a massive transition since WrestleMania. After Roman Reigns lost his Undisputed WWE Championship, Solo Sikoa took charge of the faction. Three months of introducing new members and brutalizing the roster culminated at Money in the Bank. The Enforcer pinned the WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, in six-man tag team action. This begs the question: Has the former right-hand man finally become the new Tribal Chief?
On the SmackDown after WrestleMania, Sikoa asserted his authority for the first time. Tama Tonga introduced himself as the newest member of The Bloodline. Moreover, the former NJPW wrestler brutally attacked Jimmy Uso, removing him from the faction while a terrified Paul Heyman watched on. From then on, the latter was kept in the dark about any decision about the stable. In addition to that, The Wiseman had not spoken with Reigns since WrestleMania.
In the weeks that followed, Heyman became more frantic as Solo Sikoa welcomed another member, Tonga Loa. During this time, the former NXT North American Champion assured that he had been speaking with Roman Reigns. At Clash at the Castle, The Tribal Heir made his intentions to challenge Rhodes clear. Further, Sikoa pulled off his biggest move by bringing in Jacob Fatu to The Bloodline.
Next week, he held an acknowledgment ceremony to confirm his position as The Tribal Chief, replacing Reigns in The Bloodline. If this wasn’t enough, the 31-year-old star and the rest of the faction annihilated Heyman after he refused to acknowledge him. Following Money in the Bank, it’s safe to say that Sikoa has officially transcended the Head of the Table to become the new leader of The Bloodline.
Solo Sikoa seemingly set to challenge Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam
Amidst the new changes in The Bloodline, Solo Sikoa has targeted Cody Rhodes and the Undisputed WWE Championship. After pinning The American Nightmare at Money in the Bank, it seems that he is one step closer to a shot at the title.
Previously, rumors suggested the main event of SummerSlam was earmarked to be Rhodes vs. Sikoa. On last week’s SmackDown, The Enforcer vowed to win the Undisputed Championship and bring it back to The Bloodline. In addition to that, he scrutinized Roman Reigns for his failure at WrestleMania XL.
This has led to fans speculating that The Needle Mover’s return is closer than expected. In fact, many are predicting that Reigns will come back at SummerSlam to confront his former right-hand man. Nevertheless, only time will tell if Sikoa walks out of Cleveland as champion and solidifies his position as The Tribal Chief.
