120th annual Western Idaho Fair announces concert lineup

GARDEN CITY, Idaho (KBOI) - The Western Idaho Fair has announced the 2017 grandstand lineup, which includes a mix of classic rockers and current country stars.

The grandstand concerts begin on Tuesday, August 22 with American Idol season 10 winner and country star Scotty McCreery, sponsored by WOW 104.3FM.

On Wednesday, Huey Lewis and The News takes the stage to help the audience feel the “Power of Love,” sponsored by BOB FM.

Thursday, the 80’s love fest continues with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, sponsored by J105.

The grandstand lineup closes out with Louisiana-born country icon Trace Adkins, sponsored by 101.9FM The Bull.

All of the fair’s DISH grandstand shows are free with gate admission.

“We feel very good about this year’s DISH Grandstand line-up with a solid mix of rock and country icons we feel our patrons will enjoy," said fair director Bob Batista.

This year’s Western Idaho Fair, the 120th annual, takes place August 18-27.

Advance tickets go on sale starting online on May 22 at www.idahofair.com or at all area Albertsons locations on July 18.
